Easter Wreath Makeover

I really loved this Easter wreath, I really did.  All of the eggs are real and I hand blew all of them.  Then I spray painted them and modge podged some of these Victorian images on.  Needless to say the thing was a lot of work.

But look at what started happening!  One of my eggs broke.  The purple Ester grass was looking like a mess, not that Easter grass is supposed to be straight and pretty, but it was looking well ratty.  Shoot, dang, darn.

The thing had just lost it's oomph.

But here's the Easter wreath ready to rock and ready for glory.......nest year:   I just couldn't wait to do this makeover.  Especially when I spotted these colorful  eggs at a tremendously low price after Easter.  And those delicious Easter colors are hard to resist.  Firs,t I had to modge podge the ribbon onto the Eater eggs and then kinda prop the eggs up and let them dry all over the house.  This had to be done in stages since there were soooo many eggs.  And then I glue gunned each egg on.  Some of them are even glue gunned together.
I didn't glue the pretty buttons on until the end.  The buttons were bought in a value pack at Jo-Ann's.  Hail to the 40% coupons.  My good friend Theresa keeps me outfitted with those.

I'm really happy with the outcome. My kids love the seasonal wreaths. On another note, we've been out in the backyard working constantly.  Right through my blogging time, and blogger has not been working the best lately.  As for the followers not being up, I'll try and find out about that, but hopefully it's just another kink that will work itself out.
